Uhhh, it's getting winter! The last few days we had a little taste of how the winter in WindyWelli will be. It's not too cold but very wet and of course very windy. Just check out the video from the Ferry! Yesterday the Ferries have been canceled cause of a 10-12 m swell! Sounds like big-wave-surfing ;-)

Hey guys, time for news. Right now I’m sitting next to the fireplace in the moana-lounge and watching out the window to the snowy South-Island. Today There’s a really cold southerly blowing so the temperature dropped from 15°C to chilly 9°C. but next to the fire I feel warm and slowly I’m getting used to the NZ-weather. But I don’t just want to write about the weather ;-) So here we go:our roomview

Actually there’s no big news, besides of one. Unfortunately none of us will work in the NZ-Ski-Resorts. We both couldn’t get a job… After Trish’s job interview we’ve been quite optimistic, but at the end her application has been declined. At least she could practice an interview situation – that’s more than I could!!! After hearing about my decline, I’ve been a bit frustrated and/or confused. Especially that I haven’t got a chance for an interview was surprising for me, because I really thought that my application has been good. Who knows?! I suppose/hope that I’m probably over-qualified – that cheers me up ;-) Anyway, we’re now enjoying our life in Plimmerton and the good thing is that we can stay together.

After not writing about surfing for a long time, I’ve to tell you that in the last 3 days I’ve been 5 times in the water!!! A big storm with lots of wind made the sea pumping out waves! I’ve surfed 3 different spots, which was very very exciting! To be honest I couldn’t catch many waves, but after no surf for a few weeks I enjoyed paddling and lying on my surfboard in the moving ocean. To enjoy that I had to buy some booties, cause the water and the air temperature are soooo chilly, hhhuuuu. And for tomorrow there’re more waves forecasted. (Today the ferries have stopped operating cause of a 7 m swell-that’s hell of a swell!).

Now you’re connected for live though all elements, which I think it really special! Enjoy all ups and don’t worry about the downs.
