After our wet experience in Dunedin we went further south, at least to the most south point of the South Island (the Slope Point).
That part of our trip has been so far the one with the most stops at one day, very exhausting and exiting. The first night we stayed between “Kaka-Point” (hihi) and Nugget Point. There we’ve seen our first sea lion on the beach!
Later that day we visited Cannibal Bay (next sea lions), Jacks Blowhole (a 55m deep and 200 m inland hole, surrounded bay ancient forest), the Purakanui Falls (nice waterfalls, in a deep rainforest-we’ve never seen such a forest before!!!) and Tautuku Bay (where we stayed overnight).
On the next day we’ve been busy tourists again: Cathedral Caves (accessible only at low tide, big big caves at a beach),
then the McLean Falls (next waterfalls), Porpoise and Curio Bay (I’ve been surfing there with Hector Dolphins, then we’ve seen more dolphins, seals and Yellow-Eyed-Penguins-unbelievable) and finally the Slope Point (one night in the deepest south). all together in just 2-3 days – a very busy trip!!!
After the Catlins we’ve visited Invercargill. Nothing special over there so let’s go on!!!

Hey Ihr zwei! Falls Ihr irgendwann auf die Idee kommt, eine Karte für den ersten (und einzigen) zu spendieren, der Eure posts kommentiert, setz ich mich schon in Szene ;-)Schöne Trips, genießt sie noch vorm großen Winter! Bei uns zeigen sich übrigens die ersten Frühlingsanzeichen: Siesta haben wir bei Anki schon im Garten gehalten... Bonne continuation, des gros bisous de Putis!

wieso solls euch immer besser gehen als uns hier in germany... hier pisst es auch die ganze zeit und everything is grey... wo ist die sonne? wenigstens haben wir ein trockenes zuhause. aber das wird schon wieder, ihr seid doch outdoor, oder? grüße kati
