Like you could already read in Trishs last Post, our last week has been very relaxing. After having a afternoon off and going to Raumati-Beach, where we spend a wonderful day, we've had a full day off on Thursday. So we got up early and went to see Cape Palliser. But before we went to see the SealColony there, we stoped at one of the famous NZ-WineRegions: Martinborough. At that time of the year it’s very very quite in town and so it was that we’ve been the only guests in a vineyard for lunch and tasting.
Just fantastic, sitting outside in the sun, having a Kiwi-Lamb with a matching Pinot and listening to the birds.Ok, after lunch we went to CapePalliser, which is the most southern point of the NorthIsland and famous for it’s wildlife-especially Seals. On our way to the Lighthouse we could see many of them, some were lying in the sun almost on the road! To keep in shape I ran up the 249 stairs to the Lighthouse, uhhh exhausting. Cause it’s been a clear day we’ve had a spectacular view. Back on the shore we just wandered around to watch the seals relaxing in the afternoon sun. so we joined them for a few minutes;-)And of course last but not least the new week started with a little bit of surf for me and a good looking forecast for Friday!
Ok so far so good, I hope I’ll keep on writing posts like these, instead of posts about our car…
